God’s Mission: Across the Street and Around the World

Join us for HPC Mission Weekend, a special weekend as we celebrate and explore God’s mission both in our own community and across the nations.

Whether you have a long-standing passion for missions or are simply curious about how God is at work around the world, this weekend is an opportunity to be encouraged, challenged, and inspired by what God is doing through His people.

Throughout the weekend, you will hear inspiring mission stories from members of our own church family who are serving Christ in different contexts, as well as presentations from two mission organisations:

• Voice of the Martyrs – serving and supporting persecuted Christians around the world.
• TEARFund – partnering with local churches to bring hope, justice, and sustainable development to vulnerable communities.

Our weekend will conclude with a Special Sunday Worship Service, where we are delighted to welcome Chris Siriweera, National Director of Australian Presbyterian World Mission (APWM), as our guest speaker. Chris will open God’s Word and encourage us to embrace God’s calling to participate in His global mission.

Mission is not only about crossing oceans—it is also about crossing the street. God’s mission begins in our own neighbourhoods while extending to the ends of the earth. As followers of Jesus Christ, we are all called to pray, give, send, welcome, and go according to the gifts and opportunities God has entrusted to us.
